Haematological Alterations in Trypanosoma Infection in Camels of Gujarat

چکیده

Camel is the only mode of transport in desert. In Gujarat 0.058 million camel population is there. Camel suffers from a number of important diseases viz., trypanosomiasis which is a serious problem in many parts of the world and poses a major threat to camel health. No systemic data is available on the diseases prevailing in the rural camel populations or their off springs maintained in rural households. Blood samples of infected and healthy camels were collected from different regions of Gujarat. The present study was conducted to know the haematological alterations in camel during trypanosoma infection. Data shows that trypanosome infection significantly affect RBC and haemoglobin level.
